Due to this deficiency, diffusion of glucose through the blood-brain barrier is limited or completely blocked. As a result, a clinical symptom complex of neurological disorders – epileptic seizures, cognitive deficit, and motor disorders – develops. The article provides a review of the literature on the variety of epilepsy manifestations in this syndrome, including idiopathic generalized epilepsy with absences, myoclonic-astatic epilepsy, and focal epilepsy. The inability of the basic antiepileptic therapy to stop the seizures is noted. The main treatment method is the ketogenic diet. A clinical observation made by these authors is also presented.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Синдром дефицита транспортера GLUT 1 (синонимы – синдром Де Виво, GLUT 1 deficiency syndrome, De Vivo Disease) – редкое генетическое заболевание, связанное с недостатком транспортера глюкозы GLUT 1. Вследствие дефицита данного белка-транспортера ограничивается или полностью блокируется диффузия глюкозы из крови через гемато-энцефалический барьер к головному мозгу и возникает клинический симптомокомплекс неврологических расстройств – эпилептические приступы, когнитивный дефицит, двигательные расстройства. В статье представлен обзор литературы различного течения эпилепсии при данном синдроме, включая идиопатическую генерализованную эпилепсию с абсансами, миоклонически-астатическую эпилепсию и фокальную эпилепсию. Отмечается резистентность приступов к базовой антиэпилептической терапии. Основным методом лечения предлагается кетогенная диета.
