Topiramate as an anti-epileptic medication
Abstract
This review presents current data over the efficacy and tolerability of the anti-epileptic drug Topamax (topiramate). Based on the literature data, Topamax was recognized as a medication for treatment of focal and generalized epilepsy, as well as a host of epileptic syndromes. Topamax can be a first-choice drug for both the initial treatment and combination therapy during management of epilepsy in adult and pediatric patients.
